Temporary Orders
Temporary Orders or Pendente Lite Orders are issued by the court to outline what occurs while your divorce/family law matter is pending. By definition, these orders dissolve when the court enters its final Decree of Dissolution of Marriage. In order to establish Temporary Orders, one must petition the Court to do so.
Temporary orders generally define issues of interim child custody, child support, spousal maintenance (alimony), use of the family residence, use of vehicles, division liquid assets (money easily available to one or both parties), allocation of debt and the like. The establishment of Temporary Orders is a critical stage of your divorce/family law matter and may have a lasting effect upon the future permanent orders of the Court.
Filing for and receiving Temporary Orders can become a complicated matter. This Office assists its clients in obtaining the best possible result for their temporary and permanent orders. If you need temporary or permanent orders for support, custody and the like, please contact this Office so that we may assist you.
